The ThoughtCriminals are a hip hop duo from Charlotte, NC, consisting of Mikal kHill (MC/producer who also plays a midi-controlled NES live), and Sulfur (an MC/DJ). The group combines hip hop with a blend of styles including indie rock, chip tune and more, and have done shows with a long list of hiphop lumenaries including Louis Logic, Ceschi, Astronautalis, MC Frontalot, Dual Core, Adam WarRock and more. The group has played SXSW as official artists in the Nerdcore Showcase in 2011 and 2012. kHill was voted producer of the year by Reader's Digest in 2011 after producing the Browncoats Mixtape with Adam WarRock. Sulfur once tamed a bear with a stern look. They are both super fucking awesome.
